Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Custom and personalized orders

I am not able to accommodate custom orders at this time. I update my shop frequently with new collections. Following Flatwoods Fawn on social media is the best way to keep up with when new pieces will launch.

Care instructions

Store your jewelry in a cool and dry place. Avoid getting any piece wet and remove your jewelry before showering or swimming.

Many of the pieces are made with brass, which darkens some naturally over time. Sunshine polishing cloths are a good, low-cost solution to polish your jewelry.

Store your jewelry in the linen bag that comes with your order or in a jewelry organizer separate from other pieces. Bathroom storage is NOT ideal for jewelry because of the moisture and humidity. If you have any issues with your piece, please contact me.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items come in a stamped linen bag wrapped in custom printed tissue paper made from recycled materials, hemp string, my crescent moon shaped business card, and a quartz crystal.

Orders are packaged in a recyclable brown padded mailer made from 100% recycled paper. Larger orders are packed in a recycled and recyclable box depending on order size. Instead of bubble wrap, I use a recycled and recyclable corrugated bubble sheet or GreenWrap which is an eco friendly bubble wrap alternative.

Order receipts and shipping labels are also made from recycled paper. If your item is a gift, please mark that at checkout and I will leave out the sales receipt.

Important Shipping Information

Processing time means the time I have to make and package your order. Most pieces are made to order. I am the only person making and shipping your orders and strive to provide quality and care with every piece I make, which takes time.

Orders are processed in 1-5 business days depending on when you place your order during my work week schedule. Selecting Priority shipping makes USPS work faster, not me.

When Etsy notifies you that your order has been shipped, that means I have printed out your order and shipping label and am working on your order. It will likely be taken to the PO the next day or two.

Please make sure your address is correct before placing an order! I am not responsible for lost packages due to incorrect addresses.

Insurance

All mailed orders totaling $75 and over are insured at no extra cost to the buyer.

Damaged Item or Lost Package

Once I drop a package off at USPS, it is out of my control. You will be able to track your order through your Etsy purchases and through the email shipping notification.

Sometimes USPS marks a package as delivered early; please give them grace and see if it shows up the next day.

If your order appears lost in the USPS system, it is best to contact USPS about it. I can only provide you with the same tracking information that you can also see by tracking your order.

If your package is lost and can't be recovered, contact me and I can file a lost package search with USPS or an insurance claim if your order was $75+ before shipping.

If your item arrives damaged, contact me as soon as possible.

International Shipping

PLEASE NOTE: I am currently not shipping internationally because of extended delays and lost packages due to COVID-19.

I can not give a date on when an international order may arrive. They can take anywhere from 1 week to a month or more. Please keep this in mind if you are ordering a gift or an item you need by a certain time.

I have no control over the postal services or customs. I am not responsible for the long shipping times or high international shipping rates, these prices are not set by me. I package the items in the most economical way as possible.

Wholesale availability

Many of my pieces are one of a kind or limited supply made from vintage pieces which makes it difficult to make large quantities of the same piece. Therefore, I am currently not able to take on any more wholesale accounts.

How do you make your jewelry?

Many pieces are made from vintage or dead stock pieces that are turned into new pieces of wearable art. These components are sourced in the US. The crystals I use are also sourced in the US or through international sellers that I have worked with for years who use ethical business practices. Right now, I am not teaching jewelry making courses or releasing educational content on jewelry making. I have spent many years working on my brand and countless hours researching and sourcing materials, so I do not share proprietary information.
